Twin Flames May Separate in the Physical, but Never in the Soul
“If you find me not within you, you will never find me. For I have been with you from the beginning of me.”
—Rumi
It may be a bitter pill, but it is imperative to remember that the twin flame connection was never created to be realized and experienced only within physical, temporal existence. Nor does “union” always imply that two people who are twin souls will reunite in the physical world. Indeed, many people experience reunification with their twin after one has passed into spirit.
The grief that follows when a twin flame transitions into spirit is scorching. I don’t know how else to describe it. The pain is exacerbated when both “remember” that they are twins only after one has died. This is a kind of grief that cannot be minimized or even compared to the loss of a soulmate. Twin flames are one soul expressed through two bodies. What exists at the soul level cannot be erased by distance, another relationship, fear, time apart, or death.
In death, this separation is not the end of the journey, and failing to understand that only makes the process of transmuting the grief—and alchemizing it into co-creation and ascension—so much harder. Rather, “death” becomes the space in which both souls are called to heal, awaken, surrender, and grow individually, yet as one.
